About Wan 2.2

Wan 2.2 is an open-source video generation model family released by Alibaba's Wan team under the Apache 2.0 license. It includes text-to-video and image-to-video models built on a 27B-parameter mixture-of-experts architecture with 14B active parameters per step, a combined 5B text-image-to-video model, a speech-to-video model, and a character animation model. Supported output covers 480p and 720p; the TI2V-5B variant generates 720p video at 24fps and can run on a single consumer GPU such as an RTX 4090, rendering a 5-second clip in under nine minutes.

The weights are downloadable from GitHub and Hugging Face and integrate with ComfyUI and Diffusers workflows. Because the models run locally, generation is private and not subject to hosted-service content filtering; users are responsible for complying with the license terms and applicable law. The software itself is free, so costs are limited to the hardware needed to run it.
