Udio is a browser-based AI music generator that creates songs with vocals from text prompts, with an emphasis on iterative editing: users can extend tracks, remix them, edit music and lyrics inline, blend style references, and generate from uploaded audio. Native generations run up to 2 minutes 10 seconds and can be chained into longer arrangements. A library of voices and premium artist styles supplements the prompt workflow.
The service is freemium: free accounts get 10 credits per day (up to 100 per month), the Standard plan costs $10/month (or $8/month billed annually) with 2,400 monthly credits, and Pro costs $30/month (or $24/month annually) with 6,000 credits. Following an October 2025 settlement and partnership with Universal Music Group, downloads of audio, video, and stems are disabled; finished tracks currently play inside the Udio platform while a licensed successor platform is developed.
