About Manus

Manus is a general-purpose autonomous agent that takes a goal, plans the steps, and works in its own cloud computer until it returns a finished result. Typical outputs are research reports, slide decks, and websites. It also offers Wide Research, which splits a large research job across many parallel sub-agents, and scheduled tasks that repeat on a timer. Users can follow the session as it runs and step in to redirect it. Manus markets itself as a general agent rather than a specialist, so it handles a wide mix of jobs: market research with cited sources, comparison tables, presentation decks, simple websites, and data cleanup. Output is delivered as files or live links that the user can open, edit, or share afterwards. Sessions run asynchronously, which means a task can keep working after the browser tab is closed.

Pricing is credit-based. According to the Manus help center, a Pro membership costs $20 per month and includes 4,000 credits. Monthly credits refresh on the subscription date and unused credits do not carry over. Free accounts receive daily refresh credits, capped at 1,500 per month, which can only be used with the Manus 2.0 lite model. The pricing page lists 300 refresh credits per day, 20 concurrent tasks and 20 scheduled tasks on each paid tier, with larger plans at 8,000 and 40,000 credits per month. Manus is operated by Butterfly Effect Pte. Ltd. and is available on the web, as a mobile app, and as a desktop app. Complex jobs such as a full website or a large research run consume credits quickly, so heavy users typically need a higher tier.
